Travelling with children

SkyAlps always puts passengers' needs in first place, including those of the little ones. Below you will find a summary of the services designed for children.

CHILDREN FROM 0 TO 2 YEARS OF AGE

Children between 0 and 2 years of age travel for free. For safety reasons they are not assigned a seat and travel on the lap of the parent / adult travelling with them. They are only allowed to have a hand luggage piece, regardless of the booked fare, which can be either a small bag (up to 8kg) or a foldable pushchair/pram (which can be used until the stairs of the airplane and must then be given to the ground operators to be stored in the cargo hold). Moreover, for infants it is possible to bring small quantities of food and drinks on board the airplane. Do not forget: also infants must have their own ID card or passport.

CHILDREN FROM 2 TO 11 YEARS OF AGE

Children between 2 and 11 years of age travel at a reduced fare (30% discount). They are entitled to the same conditions as the booked fare. If they are not accompanied by an adult, it is necessay to book the "unaccompanied minor service" through our customer serviee (+39 0471 060950 - reservation(at)skyalps.com).

We know that unaccompanied minors require special care. With our services, we want to take care of them at all stages of their journey, from check-in to arrival at their destination.

HOW THE SERVICE WORKS

The "Unaccompanied Minor" service must be requested for passengers aged from 5 to 13 years of age departing for domestic destinations, and from 5 to 14 years of age for international destinations, who are traveling alone, or with a minor escort. The service costs 55€ per flight and passenger.

Minor passengers aged between 14 and 17 years of age travelling alone on domestic routes and minors aged between 15 and 17 years of age travelling alone on international routes are NOT required to book the "Unaccompanied Minor" service. These passengers may travel on presentation of an identity document or passport, depending on the destination. If they wish, however, it is still possible to book the "Unaccompanied Minor" service by presenting the documentation below.

For flight booking, ticket issuing and contextual activation of the service, please contact SkyAlps Customer Service (+39 0471 060 950 - reservation(at)skyalps.com) and provide personal details and telephone number of the person who will accompany the minor to the departure airport and of the person who will collect them at the arrival airport.

At check-in, those accompanying the minor will be informed about the execution of the service. In any case, for safety reasons, the person who accompanied the minor to the airport of departure is required to stay at the airport for up to 30 minutes after take-off. Minors are assisted by airport/SkyAlps staff throughout the entire journey, until the point of meeting with the person responsible for picking them up at the arrival airport.

NECESSARY DOCUMENTS

For minors of Italian nationality, at check-in you will have to present:

• ID or passport of the person accompanying the minor to the airport;
• ID or passport od the minor;
• in the case of international travel of an Italian minor, a Declaration of Accompaniment issued by Embassies, Consulates, or Police and including the name of SkyAlps.

In addition, you will be asked to fill out:

• the Unaccompanied Minor Form, available at the check-in desk of the airport of departure.

For minors of a nationality other than Italian, please contact the Embassy or Consulate of the country of destination to obtain information on the necessary documents.
